We were excited to take on this project as it was our first time designing a Hair & Beauty Salon, and dived right into the design process as our time frame for turn around was limited.
The clients brief to us was an open one, their only request was to create something ‘glamorous’. Our concept for the look and feel of the salon was Durban Art Deco inspired with an Afro-Glam injection. The gold, black and cream tones give a classy glamorous feel and the design of the arched hair stations and screens show the art deco inspiration. A few minor building works had to be done.
This project was turned around within 6 weeks from design to implementation successfully.

HOME SHADOWS
We worked closely with the home owner to complete the interior decor of their new build home.
We worked with existing furniture pieces which had sentimental value to the client and made these pieces work harmoniously with newer pieces within a contemporary setting. Being a coastal home set on the north coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal, our color palette for the décor took its inspiration from the hues of the sea and surrounding greenery of the the beautiful Milkwoods.
Although the home is a new build, the overall look we wanted to achieve was that of a cosy lived in family home, which I feel was achieved, giving the spaces a laid back coastal living aesthetic.
